Cat Face Doodle Pattern

I seem to have skipped showing this design on my blog! Since its Inktober and I did draw these cat faces in ink, I figured now is a good time to show them off. ;) 

I was flipping through my sketchbook one day and it occurred to me that despite my love of cats, my sketchbook had nearly 0 cat sketches! I simply couldn't have that, so I just started drawing all these funny cat faces. Here is what I started out with!

I wanted to showcase a wide variety of cats but since these are very doodle type illustrations, I didn't want to make the colours toooooo realistic. I loosely based the cat colours in my patterns off of real cat colours - siamese, orange striped cat, grey tabby etc. The result is a beautiful palette of neutral tones with pops of orange and yellow. Here are some of the products that are available at my shops in this pattern.

I've also added customizable cat pattern products to my Zazzle shop, like this

And since Zazzle added these lovely new paper placemats to their product lineup,
I couldn't resist turning my cat face lineart into a pattern just so that it can be treated
as a colouring page! You can colour the cats however you want. Each paper placemat
is a set of 25.

Cute Chicks & Flowers Spring Design

I'm getting behind in my new line features! I have been on a serious design spree, and I want to get as much uploaded into my shop as possible before I have to go work this weekend long cheerleading event! It is at Niagara falls, which is pretty cool. My boyfriend and I always have a lot of fun at this competition because we can do what we want after hours. Usually we go to the casino and I spend $20 on slot machines and lose it all in like minutes.

But that is besides the point! The point of this post is to show off one of my new designs: my chicks & flowers spring design! I added this cute design that is great for children to just about all the zazzle products. It features a transparent background, so you can change the background colours to get different effects. This pattern is easily suited for both baby boys and girls just by changing the background. I especially think this pattern looks great on the home decor items... it would be great in a nursery! Anyways, here are some of my favourites out of the collection!

Super cute chick bib! Change the background to pink or light creamy yellow for a girl, or a nice light blue or minty green for a boy!

I don't think I have ever featured a pouf before! These are really cute for in a kids room. Easily add a name to the top or bottom of this pouf to make it a really cute personalized gift.

Shop Update: Watercolour Leaves Products

Using the nifty tricks I learned the other day with creating a watercolour effect through masks in illustrator and quick repeatable patterns, I got a little carried away and have been making every pattern watercolour! This is my newest creation, the green watercolour leaves pattern. I have added it to my zazzle and redbubble shops. I went even further in experimentation with this one by adding it to zazzle products I had never designed before.

The pattern is of 3 different shaped watercolour leaves, and it looks fantastic in different shades of green, grey, white and black. I created most of this collection with personalization in mind, so there is a monogram frame or nameplate on most of these items. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

Did you know that zazzle sells customizable smart cases? Smart cases are fantastic for the iPad. You can get this design in the regular size iPad and the Mini.
