Redbubble A-Line Dresses Feature

FINALLY! After waiting for what seems like forever, RedBubble has released All-Over-Print Dresses! RedBubble has been expanding their product line lately with new products, so I am extremely happy to see that they have finally added A-Line Dresses with all over print!  This is definitely my favourite new arrival in a long time.

These A-Line dresses look so cute and comfy. They are made from 100% Woven Polyester with a silky feel, have a high neckline, no sleeves, and are the perfect length - the dress goes to just a few inches above the knee. The thing I love about this type of dress is that you can easily dress it up or down, (tights & cardigan in the winter, jean jacket in the summer)  and it suits a wide range of body types. This is a very loose and flowy shaped dress. For girls who like a little more form, you can easily add a belt or rope around the waist to accentuate your figure. The sizing for these is also a very versatile range - from XS to 2XL. Here is the sizing chart:

As for the printing, the design is repeated on both the front and back of the dress and covers all areas. They get the bold and crisp colours of the artwork through a Sublimation Printing technique. I was surprised to learn that these are fully constructed and printed in the USA! You can purchase one for the regular price of $80.

Since these are a new arrival, there are no reviews yet, but I expect this to be one of RedBubbles most popular clothing items! I have already started designing on them, and even added my pineapple print in different colours just for this dress. Ever since I saw my pineapple print fabric transformed into a beautiful dress, I have always wanted a pineapple dress for myself! Here are some of my favourite patterns on the A-Line All over print dress.

with a little bit of a tropical feel - definitely a summer staple. If I order one, it will definitely
be this one!

Cat Lady Gifts on DesignByHumans

As you may know I am in a cat phase that is ending never, seeing as I am an official cat lady, so obviously every now and again I am going to bombard the internet world with cat designs. Some of these designs you may have seen before from my other online shops, but my DesignByHumans shop is still relatively new and since it is one of the art websites I enjoy the most, I would like to share some stuff from it. :)

DesignByHumans has this cool thing where people can upload a photo of themselves wearing their new DBH apparel for a chance to win free tees! You can even upload your photo to instagram & tag @designbyhumans. Here is one of my favourites so far from the DBH webpage, it is jillemader modelling her new Cat to be kitten me right meow tank top, while her cat is striking a pose too! ;) Thanks for sharing, I love to see my designs in action!

New Look at Zazzle & Blogger!

Hello everyone! After a while of inactivity, I have decided to start fresh with a new blog design that matches my new Zazzle Storefront! I opted for two of my favourite colours for this fresh, summer / spring look. See my Zazzle Storefront Here!

While I have been inactive on the blog front, I have been busy with working full time along with adding new products to my Zazzle, DesignByHumans and RedBubble shops! I have been focusing a lot of my efforts to my DesignByHumans shop lately because I do really well there, however I would like to start dividing my time between Zazzle again because I have TONS of patterns that would be suited for the wide variety of products there.

On My Zazzle shop I have decided to start updating my fabric line with new patterns. I have a beautiful pastel line coming up, and have recently added a purple ornate pattern collection and updated my summer time fabrics collection with some new patterns as well!

I have also been updating my DesignByHumans store with some exclusive, text based designs! Since DBH is mainly for wearables, typography and simple graphics work really well there, whereas my patterns do better on RedBubble and Zazzle. Some of my designs were even added to the DBH summer collection! :)

I've got a lot of catching up to do, but my goal is to have my Zazzle shop fully caught up with my new designs by November, giving me lots of time! Not counting the new designs I plan on making, of course. Next week I am taking a trip to the Royal Ontario Museum, which will mean lots of sketchbook drawing for me and hopefully the start of a brand new pattern... :)

Some thoughts of the day & Creativity Poll

Whew, my life has been a crazy mess for the past 6 months. Juggling two jobs while still trying to maintain a social life, updating an online shop, keep up with design requests from my boyfriends business plus still trying to have a teensy bit of time for myself was not the best idea in the world, lol.  I didn't realize how drained I was from it until I started one of my two jobs full time, and quit the other. While I am still working the same amount of hours, I feel significantly less tired, and I have so much more time on my hands now. The problem with my other part time job is that they would only let you work 4 hour shifts, and you had to work 4 of them a week. So even though the amount of hours between the two jobs was normal for a full time position, I hardly ever got 2 days off in a row for recovery time. In fact, March will mark the first month in nearly 3 years that I will get all 4 weekends off! Having an actual schedule where I can work a set time every day and then having weekends off is going to be a hugely positive lifestyle change. I feel like I have super amounts of time on my hands already - even though its only been 3 days with 1 job!

So far, what have I done with my spare time these past couple of days? I've started doing some of the things I told myself I would do - I have started a workout schedule & am going to eat proper meals, now that I have time to prepare them. I've also binge watched a fair amount of Murdoch Mysteries, while shamelessly playing Pokemon Y.  I want to take lots of time for myself this week, something I haven't had in 6 months, but I also want to get a good schedule going for after work, or else I will never do the things I am meaning to do.

An important thing I will be bringing back to my schedule is regular updates to my Zazzle shop, as well as daily drawings once again. I am excited to be more creative again with paintings and patterns.

Redbubble Shop Updates & new collection!

As part two to my updates of 2015 plus a round up of what I have been up to, I will talk today about my RedBubble shop! :)
Redbubble did really well over the christmas holidays and I continue to sell things daily! My most popular product is stickers, but I also sell a lot of pillows and t-shirts there too. In total I made 18 sales on RB over December. If you would like to see what I sold in December 2015, Visit my redbubble "journal post" where I have made a list of the different things I sold. Click here to see it!

Redbubble is currently my favourite POD right now. I find it a very artist friendly print on demand, not only have the staff been very helpful in any interaction I have had with them, but my work has also been featured on their social media feeds! Not only that, but the ability to set your own royalties is always a plus. Their product customization tool is great for artists, it takes very little time to add your artwork to RedBubble, giving you more time to keep making designs. :) My only complaint about RedBubble is that it is hard to share product views with your design on social media. Say I go to share a pillow, sometimes the pillow mockup doesn't get shared, only the artwork. While its great to show people your artwork, its important to me to be able to share all the products from RB with my designs on it to my social media streams! I hope they fix this in the new year.

I also purchased things from RedBubble in 2015 - a pillowcase & a laptop case, both of which were fabulously printed & a nice quality. Shipping to Canada also didn't cost me an arm and a leg, which was a plus. I keep forgetting to post a review of my laptop case, but I will do that some day!

Redbubble is my most up to date print on demand right now, and the place where you will find my most current work! I have been adding Valentines day themed products lately.. my favourite is a valentines cat typography piece that I did.... Of course! ;) It is a heart design with the text "Atleast my cat loves me" it comes in watercolour pink, and soon I will add it in a flat vector black as well! This humorous & trendy design is perfect for cat people on valentines day. I love this one in stickers & mugs... but here are the products so you can see for yourself! Enjoy!

Cat love t-shirt? yes please! This will allow you to make everyone jealous on Valentines day. You have a cat that loves you! ;) Plus the watercolour heart is a perfect for valentines pink.

This pillow is something both you and your loving cat can enjoy. This makes a cute addition to any cat lady's room! Redbubble pillows come in three huggable sizes, plus you have the option of ordering the pillow fully stuffed, or you can just order the pillowcase and save a bit on shipping!

This is the perfect sassy mug for when your friends/spouse/boyfriend/girlfriend are being less than desirable! Show them their attitude is not wanted & that you really appreciate your cats constant love. :)

Invited to any valentines day or anti-valentines day parties, but are a single lady/guy? Stuff this bag with whatever you need to enjoy the party and have fun! This bag is a great conversation piece if you are trying to find other cat people!

These studio pouches are adorable! They are great for make up, as a pencil case for school, holding all your spare catnip mice/ toys (what? you have to be prepared in case a new cat or kitten wishes to love you) or just for holding loose things in your purse! I love them. The pink in the watercolour heart looks fantastic with the gold zipper!

Hope you enjoyed this update! :) I am going to be posting about my DesignByHumans store very soon. I am also enjoying DesignByHumans a lot... I can't believe I let it sit for so long! I will update as soon as I can!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend <3 nbsp="" p="">

New Year, New Designs, New shops!

Hey guys, its been a while since I posted, but lots has been happening! Christmas was super busy for my shops and I managed to sell quite a bit! I have quite a lot of updates for the new year plus a roundup of some of my sales, as well as many exciting designs to share! Since all the updates will be a lot, I am just gonna talk about Zazzle today & DesignByHumans & RedBubble later on in the week.

Zazzle Shop

LOTS is new in Zazzle, both good and bad... I'll start with the iffy stuff, which is basically just Zazzle changes.

ZRANK & ZAZZLE UPDATES
The first bit of update that I haven't talked about much here is the introduction of Zrank last year, and the effect it has had on Shopkeepers. Zazzle uses a mysterious algorithm to rank everyones shops with a number.... 1 being the worst, meaning your products are seen last in the marketplace, and 10 being the best, with the chances of your products being found the best. 4 -10 will have the best placements in the marketplace.

Things that alter your Zrank for certain are individual tags, titles, & descriptions on products, whether your products are customizable or not, whether all your products are all similar or if each is designed unique, and possibly your sales to products ratio.

I haven't noticed a difference in sales since Zrank has been implemented because my rank has been at 4, which is considered the minimum for good placement in the marketplace. I don't really like Zrank that much. I have jumped through all the hoops to raise my Zrank - and it has been stuck at 4 - except for a few weeks ago when I managed to raise it to 5. It promptly went down after I added new products, however. Which leaves me in the dilemma - do I add new products here and risk losing marketplace visibility, which I need a lot now that I don't do as much promoting - or do I just leave my shop as it is, not add any new stuff & just sell my old items on Zazzle, while updating my other shops? I am already behind on zazzle products anyways thanks to their tedious product creation, making me really lean towards the latter choice! I do still sell a lot of designs there and while I would love to make all my products available, it doesn't seem to make sense adding all my new designs if they won't even be found thanks to my rank declining every time I add new things.

Add Zrank with Zazzle's new Captcha when creating multiple items in a row, it seems Zazzle is really trying to cut down on the amount of products in their marketplace. All these hoops is making Zazzle a very time consuming hobby for me.

ZAZZLE SHOP UPDATE

With all the new Zazzle changes taking place that seem to push designers further and further behind, I really haven't been able to update many of my new designs there. If you are looking for my more recent stuff, you will almost always find it on RedBubble! And if you want a design on something RedBubble does not sell but Zazzle does, let me know the item & design and I will upload it to my Zazzle shop for you! :)

Aside from all Zazzles changes, my shop was super busy over the month of December! I made a lot of sales, even things I had never sold before! Thanks to all who visited my shop over the month. Here is a collection of the individual items I sold in December 2015, if you would like to see them!

Also, I found out yesterday that my Anti-Valentines Day tote bag was featured in a buzzfeed article - how cool is that! Here is the article, enjoy all the items here!

Buzzfeed - 18 Awesome Gifts for your Best Friend Who's Over Valentines Day

And here is the featured bag! Since the Buzzfeed article it has had 250 views and has sold a few times . Thanks to the referrer who added this one! :)
